FAQ
F2 is a major upgrade over F1.
For most users—especially business users who want to start earning sooner and enthusiasts who value a smooth experience—F2 is the smarter choice. If you’re a beginner on a tight budget and handy with DIY, F1 remains a solid entry option.
Yes! Compatible with all F1 accessories—except the Rolling Hard Case. Your previous investment won’t go to waste—F2 integrates seamlessly into your existing xTool ecosystem.
Standard area:115 × 115 mm (≈ 4.5 × 4.5 in), ideal for most small items.
Extended area (with Slide Extension):115 × 400 mm (≈ 4.5 × 15.7 in), great for batch runs and long pieces.
Max workpiece height: Up to 120 mm (≈ 4.7 in), slightly taller than F1 (about 113 mm / 4.45 in).
The 5W IR (1064 nm) laser is designed for metal marking/engraving with crisp detail and depth on most metals, including: stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium alloys, plated metals, anodized aluminum, gold, silver, and platinum.
F2 currently works exclusively with xTool Studio (formerly XCS). It does not support LightBurn at this time.
xTool Studio runs on Windows and macOS, and combines design, layout, parameter settings, and machine control in one beginner-friendly app.
